- Connect the four header-wires to a breadboard.
- Connect the wire coming from the J1 cable pin 7 to ground.
- Connect wires from J2 pins 1, 2, 9, and 10 to a breadboard.
- Connect the dummy load resistor to the wires coming from pins 1 and 2 of J2.
- Connect a voltmeter across the dummy load resistor
- Connect a 12 volt power supply to J2 pins 9 and 10.
- Connect a the ground of a 5 volt supply to the wire coming from pin 7 of J1.
- Connect the wire coming from J1 pin 1 to 5 volts.
